unions reporting special activities fur the raising of necessary funds. lor the District Convention, Onehunga, I akapuna and Auckland Uilium elected their delegates at their last meetings. Auckland also nominated district officers.

In the South Auckland district, delegates tu the Tc Avvamutu convention (September iVth) elected at last meetmgs were: Tauranga, Mesdames York and Maunder; Cambridge, Mrs. Kenisle) ; and Thames, Mrs. Paul. Marlborough Convention is t > he held at Blenheim, and the local union elected Mrs. Tarrant as their delegate. North and South Canterbury liau their Convention in C hristchurch, joining forces tor the occasion. At recent meetings, Spreydon elected Miss Old,, and Timaru, Mrs. Howe, to represent them, Sydenham and New Brighton also electing delegates, fo assist I )j s . tricl funds, New Brighton took up a special collection, and Christchurch donated £2. District officers were nominated bv Sydenham.

Wanganui East will he the hostess Union for the Wanganui Convention, which is to be held in the Baptist Church.

Otago delegates elected are Mesdames Madigan, Dow, Graham and McCardy from Dunedin South; Mrs. McDonald and Miss Dobson from Kaikorai. Nominations of Mrs. Pippin (President), and Miss Gibbs (Treasurer) were made by Dunedin South. Lawrence read and adopted their annua! report for presentation at Convention, and dealt with other related business. Ibis Convention will be held .it Port Chalmers. Wellington Convention i' fixed l"r (Jctober 24th, and is to he held at Masterton. The Dominion President, Miss Kirk, is expected to spend some time m the Wairarapa district visiting local muons.
