4/1/46. hear Mrs. Christian, I noticed a report from Niue Island. \Yc saw how hard up some ol the 'people oxer there were, so our W.C. T.U. decided to send some suitable clothing, hut found it could only be posted. So I sent the first parcel by post, from the Southland I district Executixe, and told Mrs. Head to let us know if it arrixed in good order a> many of the branches wanted to send more. 1 am pleased to hear about it as xve feared it had been lost. It costs 4/- for 141 b. posted. The IVt Office people said it is better to make up the parcels to 71b. and tie them together. We sent dresses, etc., suitable for a hot climate.
