ONEHUNGA SENIOR LOYAL TEMPERANCE LEGION.

A suggestion to form a Senior Branch of L.T.L. for girls and boys unable to attend day meetings, emauated from the alert brain of our L.T.L. Ex-President, Kyra Shepherd. She also circularised all old members, which resulted in an enthusiastic meeting for the purpose of forming a Senior Club, being held at Mrs Shepherd's home, on Saturday, Ma> 14th.

Fourteen old members and two new ones were present, Mrs Hunter < Leader) in chair.

Proposed by Kyra Shepherd and seconded by Beth Armstrong, that Senior L.T.L. be formed, meetings to be held monthly, on Saturday*, from 7.30 to 8.4 5 p.m. Carried unanimously. Proposed membership fee of 3d. per member (entrance fee) and Id. per month be charged. Carried.

Officers were then elected by ballot (the young folks training in Junior Society, in this being plainly evident). Election resulted as follows:—President. Kyra Shepherd; Vice-President, Beth Armstrong; Kec. Sec., Jean West; Coi. Sec., Evelyn Phyn; Treasurer, Keith Mushet.

The office of Secretary was the only one in which the nominating ballot was not decisive, and being reballoted. resulted in 8 votes each for two girls. Leader being appealed to for casting vote, could only suggest having two Secretaries, which seems to bv working out satisfactorily.
