WASTEFULNESS.

(To the Editor.) Madam, Some weeks ago Miss Webb wrote to your paper under above heading, calling attention to the number of useful papers read to different branches of the Union and not passed on to the bureau for the benefit of others. In response to her appeal, only two correspondents forwarded papers, and, like Oliver Twist, I am still "asking for more." Permit me also to call attention to another source of waste. Recently 23 Superintendents of departments posted schedules to 250 Unions. Now, if all these are returned under penny stamps, as many are, it will mean a loss to White Ribbon work of over ten shillings, whereas they will go for a halfpenny with the flap tucked in.—lam. etc., M. 8. POWELL, Supt. Educational Bureau.
