The White Ribbon. “For God, and Home, and Humanity.” WELLINGTON, DECEMBER 18, 1926. THE PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE.

D«*ar White Ribbon Sisters. Once again we come to the close of the year; it has been a very busy and a very full year in White Rihlmn ri roles. Our District and Local branches have done much good foundation work, largely in preparation tor a

forward move on educational lines next year, v’hen the distribution of literature and extensive meetings must be the order of the day. Two and three Organisers have bee!, busy both in the North and South Islands; a Maori Organiser is now on trial with Sister Nichells. Your District Officers and New Zealand Officers have travelled and visited Onions all over the country, and Field Workers too have l>een helping, so that there are very few Unions anywhere who have not had a special visit some time this year. Wo pray that all this may result in great spiritual uplift, and a fresh clear vision of the dignity and nobility of our Mission as a W.C.T.F. No other body of women stands for and works for quite the same ideals as our founders set before us, or for the same splendid issues of Christian t citizenship and Home life as those inscribed on our Standard and in our Constitution. Now we go into recess for a few weeks. May we be able to use some of that resting-tlme in contemplation of the beauty and glorious liberty of our Master’s commission to us, and of w hat He really wishes us to stand for in the Christian life of the Nation -Let us just “be still” and know He is God, and let Him fill our very souls full of His Spirit, in readiness to shed it abroad on all around us. and so build up His Kingdom in the hearts of all whom we may touch. May every White Rlbboner haw a happy ajid peaceful Xmas-tide. Ma\ the New Yeai bring to all visions of a world made perfect through Christlike thoughts and actions falling in benediction on all created things. ELIZABETH R TAYLOR.
