On June 24th, a branch of the “Y” Union was organised in Christchurch by Miss McLay. Officers President, Miss Millicent Jennings; Cor. Sec., Miss I). Hutchinson; Rec. Sec., Miss Coe; Treas., Mi’ss Edna Spedding. It was decided to form a Choir, and also a Speakers’ Class. Membership, 20. On June 29th, a branch was also formed at Rangiora. Officer;* President, Miss Thelma Ayers; Cor. Sec.. Miss N. Taylor; K**c. Sec., Mi.-.; M. McKechnle; Treas., Mrs Rob< rt Thwaites; Superintendents. M e? dames Logan and Rowe.
