A WHIFF FROM HELL!
At a meeting of the State Liquor Dealers of Ohio at Columbus. Ohio, held some years ago, one of the delegates. j n tiie course of a speech on "How to Build I p the Saloon Business," guve the fol lowing suggestion. He said: “The success of our business is de pendent largely upon the creation of appetite for drink. Men who drink liquor, like others, will die, anil if thesis no new appetite created our counters will lie empty, as will be our coffers. Our children will go hungry, or we must change our business to that of som-' other more remunerative. “The open fi' WJ for the creation of appetite is among the boys. After men are grown and their habits are formed tney rarely ever change in this regard. It will be needful, therefore, that missionary work be done amonp the boys, and I make the suggestion gentlemen, (hat nickels expended in treats to th“ boys now will return in dollars to your tills after the appetite has been formed. Above all things, crivite appetite * The above was given the Anti-Snloon League of America by a gentleman who was present at the meeting, and made exact notes at the time of what was said. The delegate who made the speech supposed that none but liquor dealers were present. For sheer brutality this will be heard to beat.- ITxehange,
