1 Is the W.C.T.C. a political body? No. The W.C.T.C. does not support any political party, but sup ports the who pledge themselves to work for the prin c tplc's set forth in the* preamble* of our Constitution. 2. Can the President of any Union rail the members together to form a committee to work for any one* man standing for election to Parliament Certainly not, individual members of the Union may work on an\ candidate’s committee, but the* Union as a whole c annot form a committee. As every member of the Union is pledged to work for Prohibition they would of course support candidates who were pledged to support Prohibition. p What is the correct rule for new members joining a Union; should their names he proposed at a previous meeting? There is no provision in the* rules for this being done. At any meeting when an appeal is made for new members, anyone coming forward .end signing the pledge is initiated at once.
