INVERCARGILL. April 2. A good attendance. Do bate on “Does the girl of tin* period 'kpend too much time on dressr’* was very interesting, nearly all the girls taking part. Miss Seed, our delegate, gave an interesting report of Convention, and was heartily thanked. She also reported that she had purchased a dozen copies of ( omen* ion number of the “White Rihlxm," and distributed them in the hope of getting new members, and had donated ins to the Dominion Fund on behalf of tin--1 'nion. A very enjoyable social yyas given by the Y's to their returned soldier fijends. Attendance of over 150, both khaki and the white bow being very much in evidence. The decorations yvere chrysanthemums and autumn leaves, flags and evergreens <l* corated with tiny white bows of ribbon. Miss Campbell was in t'■ chair, and welcomed the returned men and visitors In a neat speech. Mis Bathgate returned thanks for so many men spared to come hack to their homeland. A special feature y\as six living tableaux: (1) Before and After Marriage. (2) Ruth and Naomi, (3) Angel’* Lullaby. (4) Peace ;nd W ar. <5; Ills Only Pair, (6) New Zealand and B.itannia. A programme of songs arid recitations was very mut h enjoyed, and a missing word conipeti tion. Mrs Bathgate was presented
