A MESSAGE WRONGLY DE LIVERED.
The President would like all members of Convention to knoxv that before she le*ft Napier it was discovered that the courteous message xvhich the Bishop of Waiapu sent to Convention xxas wrongly delivered, and therefore created a most unfortunate impres sion. The message xvas merely sent to change the hour for the deputation (and not xvith any idea of postponing it), as an important fixture for the Bishop had already been made at the time appointed. Steps xvcrc at on< e taken to rectify the mistake, and on Saturday, May 3rd, three delegates who xverc still in Napier, members of the Anglican Communion, xvere received at the Cathedral buildings. A very appreciative understanding of the position xvas sympathetically expressed, and the delegates left feeling quite hopeful that some effoit xvould be made in the direction which we all so earnestly desire
