In the annual report cf the Scottish Band of Hope Union we notice that they h.ive a school lecture department, and in connection with this over 30,000 essays were sent in, and more than 2000 book ptizes awarded. Temperance wall-sheets and temperance teaching are good, but authorised temperance lectures in our schoo-s would be a decided step in advance.
