ARAMOHO. Sepi ii. Most successful (• 111 Social, over 120 present. Fine programme of musical and eloiutionan items. The Wanganui Orchestra as sistod, also a ventriloquist amused the audience. Refreshments were handed round, and games indulged in. Votes of thanks to all who had assisted. Oae new member. Sept. 2S. Sale of Work b\ District I’nion. Our Y’s had charge of Novelty Jumble Stall and a Laundry Basket. Proceeds £l2. We ar" grateful to all who assisted. AUCKLAND. Oct. Soc ial evening, music al items and refreshments. Collection for mine sweepers of over £2 10s. Mrs Napier gave us a few words of help and encouragement. Sorry to report resignation of our President, Misv Parkinson. It was accepted with deep regret, and Miss I. Sussex elected President. Three new members. PAPATOKTOK. Oct. 1. A new Y Branch formed by Mrs Napier. Mrs Na.uier addressed a well-attended meeting, and 40 resjKcnded to her appeal for members. Officers were elected: Pres., Miss M. Sanderson; Sec.. Miss M. Barton; Treas., Miss H. Ilallbery. Four officers of the Auckland Y Branch were present, and their offer to take next meeting was accepted. Mrs Ashley appointed Superintendent. Refreshments closed a most successful meeting. OXFORD. June ic). The Y girls .entertained Nurse Chapocl at tea. In the evening Nurse Chapped gave a most helpful address. One new member was enrolled. August. Attendance, 14 members. Chief busine ss to arrange for concert. Letters of greeting were sent to Invarcargill and Hastings. Miss J. Gainsford elected delegate for Convention to be held in our township September trd and 4th. Concert held August 17th. Good programme given by the members. Supper provided. WANGANUI. Sept. 28. Two members passed on to the Senior I’nion. Silent vote of sympathy passed with two members who have lost a brother at the war. Satisfactorv returns from our stall at the Sale of Work in conjunction with the Senior Union for mine-sweepers. Miss Cruic kshank, principal of the Girls’ College, gave an inspiring address on “Christian Citizenship,” which was much enjoyed. A vote of thanks and appreciation was accorded the s|K\ikcr.
