The following Unions report visiting hospitals and the sick at home, distributing eggs, flowers, literature, etc.: —Waipawa, Stratford, Napier, Ashburton (visits Old Men’s Home), Palmers'on North, Oxford, Auckland, W’arkworth (flowers "ent to Auckland Mothers’ Day), Hamilton, Gisborne (two afternoon teas and six musical evenings), Wanganui (concert at Old Men’s Home), Timaiu, Kaiapoi, Greytown, and Pahiatua. also Eltham. Patriotic Work. Pahiatua (comforts to wounded soldiers). Eltham (sewing for Red Cross and Belgian relief, colic ted fundi for Y.M.C v rands) Grcytown (one case of old linen and 1200 knitted eye-bandages), Kaiapoi ( fA sent to Red Cross, rooms lent to Red Cross Society), Tirnaru (/q worth of goods to mine-sweepers), Wanganui ( f. B worth of goods to mine sweepers. £2O raised for Red Cros«. a stall at Agricultural Show, members meet once a week to make garments for Red Cross), Gisborne (/70 worth of goods for mine-sweepers), Cambridge I f \ ms to Red Cro-«s Fund), Hamilton (m<> garments for Red Cross), Christchurch (members meet once 1 week for Red Cross sewing, took eharge twice of Red Crc s -hop. £22 and £26 raised, held a Sale In- l.adv Liverpool Fund, /40 raised, 313 garments sent to Red Cross, and 2204 articles to l.adv Liverpool Fund), Wellington District (76 garments to Red Cross). Wellington Central (took charge of Triangle Cake Room one day. /8 raised, also helped with stall at Paddy’s Market), Bluff (lent hall for patriotic meetings and to Patriotic Guild, £ls worth of goods to minesweepers), Auckland (raised £lO2 for “Our Dav,” help cater for Soldiers’ Club). Coffee Fund for Soldiers). Winchmore-Greenstreet (7s 6d and gifts to Ladv Liverpool Fund, £\ 3s 6d and tinned goods for Y.M.C.A. Fund, parcel sent to Stocking League), Otahuhu (garments valued at to mine sweepers, took June 11 th at the Soldiers’ Club, two cases of goods to “Our Day” Red Cross), New Plymouth (provided refreshments for patriotic workers at Agricultural Show, /So raised for Patriotic Fund), Stratford (took two days in connection with Patriotic Market, one day’s proceeds to Y.M.C.A., socks and other garments sent to boys in the trenches), Waipawa sent to minesweepers), Lower Hutt (case of clothing sent to mine-sweepers), Otautau collected 17s for Dr. Barnardo’s Homes; Wanganui and Auckland visit returned soldiers at Public Hospital, and distribute chocolate, flowers, etc.; Christchurch visits lubilce Home, and gives a tea and concert once a year; Wellington, three laundries, three factories, and Alexandra Home visited, and bunches of flowers, with texts attached, distributed; Oxford Y Branch and L.T.L. held a concert in aid of children wounded in London air raids, £2l was handed over to the fund.
