Well-tried and highly recommended Recipe for "Bermaline Bread," a; used by many White Ribboners In N.Z. “Pass it on”: 2 large cups w heatmeal; i large cup flour: i \ cups milk and water, i tablespoonful treacle; i teaspoonful salt; I C. soda ; 2 teaspoonfuls cream of tartar. Method—Mix all drv ingredients, pour hot water on treacle, add milk, mix to rather soft consistency. Bake low in oven.
