While I feel very keenly my la k of fitness for the heavy responsibilities of the position, we have so many expert leaders 111 our work in this country that i feel 1 can share with them the burden, and that makes the work much easier. We rejoice in the splendid spirit shown by the White Ribboners in New Zealand, and 1 hope your regular W.C.T.U. work and your plans for the 1917 campaign may be succesful. With much love to you and to the members of the W.C.T.U. —Affectionately, ANNA A. GORDON.
