REPORT OF “WHITE RIBBON.”

The yv.k. Mp 4 started with 2001 subscribers and closed with 2031, an increase of 30 tor the year. During the* year we have had to write off bad debts to the amount of .£24, owing by f;2 subscribers. No subscriber was

truck off without fullest enquiry through agents. Many were dead or had left the* Dominion, and in every case thc*rc* yvas no possibility of collecting the account. Last August a special Franchise Number was issued to commemorate the 21 st anniversary of Women’s Enfranchisement. 1 Ins number won favourable comment from women workers in England, Australia, South Africa, and Canada, and has secured a few oversea subsc riber>. To the* “White Ribbon" agents our heartiest thanks are due for help so untiringly given. The paper owes much of it-, success to their untiring labours.

Thanks of Convention are due* to Mrs Evans, M.A., our able* Associate Kditor. A special interest attaches to her article in our I* rain hist* number on “Higher Education of Women,” a> she* herself was the first lady in the* British Dominions to have the degree of B.A. conferred upon her.
