A “ tell-tale ” milk jug has been devised. It is a glass measure, graduated at every quarter-pint; below the pint and half-pint marks three lines are etched showing the thickness of the cream which should appear in average, in good, and in very good milk, thus measuring both quantity and quality. To keep away the moth, at the beginning of spring sprinkle your furs and woollen clothes with “ powdered " bitter apple. Roll carefully in old sheets.
Two entire years, working eight hours a day, were spent in arranging and putting together the Polyglot Petition. Cycling for women is recommended as a remedy for dyspepsia, torpid liver, incipient consumption, rheumatism, and melancholia.
