NEW ZEALAND X MAORI ADVISORY OFFICER The New Zealand Post Primary Teachers' Association, which is the industrial and professional union of New Zealand state secondary teachers, wishes to appoint a Maori Advisory Officer to its Wellington-based permanent staff. The duties of the position will relate closely to the Association's bi- and multi-cultural activities with particular emphasis on the needs of Maori and Pacific Island teachers and students. Therefore, the successful applicant will need to have the ability to maintain good relationships with the Maori and Pacific Island communities of Aotearoa. Some travel will be involved. The successful applicant will be required to live in Wellington and to commence duties as soon as possible. Assistance with transfer will be considered for a non-Wellington appointee. Salary will be within the range of salaries paid to State secondary school teachers. Further information about the duties and conditions of appointment may be obtained from the General Secretary.
