NICHOLAS IRWIN HUNT SCHOLARSHIP FOR MAORI WRITERS This year the Maori Education Foundation is offering the award for picture book manuscripts written in the maori language and suitable for Kohanga Reo. The total value of the award is SSOOO to be divided equally for each of the ten best manuscripts submitted. At least one completed manuscript plus two related completed illustrations must be submitted by each entrant. Several manuscripts may be submitted by each entrant. Manuscripts will be judged by an authorised sub-committee set up by the Maori Education Foundation and winners will be announced at the 2nd National Te Kohanga Reo Hui in January 1985.
