LETTER
The Editor Tu Tangata
Kia ora. What a splendid magazine Tu Tangata has become. It gives a very good picture of Maori life at the moment, including the less orthodox aspects. In the last two issues I particularly enjoyed Arapera Blank’s article on the education of Maori women, the photographs of Rawhiti, the mini Maori Course, and “Impressions of Wellington night and day”, chilling but most convincing. In the April magazine I was fascinated to read the article about Te Miringa Te Kakara which I had the privilege of visiting two or three times in 1975. I understand that it is to be rebuilt, as it was, without the use of nails. I have not yet seen Te Poho o Tipene. The photographs suggest its quality. I like your covers too. Quite the best Maori magazine I can remember. Very best wishes. Yours sincerely Peggy Ashton
