Sunbathing: This has a beneficial effect upon health, because of the ultra-violet rays from the sun act on certain substances under the skin and form Vitamin D. For sunbathing choose a sheltered spot, protected from the wind. Great care must be taken, too, not to allow baby to become burned by the sun or chilled by the cold winds. In all cases the baby should wear a shady hat to protect his eyes and the back of his neck from direct sunlight.
