The Charlatans (pictured) are one of the many UK acts to create the unique charity album Help, to raise funds for Bosnian children. The Charlatans were joined by the Chemical Brothers on a cover of a Sly Stone song 'Time For Living'. All the acts gottogether in studios around England on Monday Sept 4 to record and mix their songs. The album was mastered the following day, then manufactured and delivered the same week for Saturday 9 release. Advance orders in the UK raised over one million pounds for charity. The 20 tracks include Oasis & Friends (including Johnny Depp) 'Fade Away', 800 Radleys 'Oh Brother', Stone Roses 'Love Spreads', Radiohead 'Lucky', Orbital 'Adnan', Portishead 'Mourning Air', Massive Attack (with Brian Eno) 'Fake the Aroma', Suede 'Shipbuilding', Stereo MCs 'Sweetest Truth', Sinead O'Connor 'Ode to Billy Joe', Levellers 'Search Lights', Manic Street Preachers 'Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head', Terrorvision 'Tom Petty Loves Veruca Salt', Terry Hall & Salad 'Dream A Little Dream', Paul Weller & Friends (including Oasis & Paul McCartney) 'Come Together', Seymour (i.e. Blur) 'Eine Kleine Lift Musik' and Neneh Cherry & Trout '1,2,3,4'. The Charlatans have a new album Nine Acre Court out now.

AC/DC are back with the album Ballbreaker and their original drummer (and Bay of Plenty resident) Phil Rudd. A New Zealand concert is planned for 1996.
