Strawberry Fields Programme
THE FIELDS ARE ALIVE The Strawberry Fields Music Festival comes round again on February 24 and 25, point your housetruck in the direction of the main Hamilton to Raglan highway and you can’t miss it. The two day festival will showcase over 40 bands on two stages, and will be headlined by Aussie rocker Diesel. The best of local rock is also at Strawberry Fields — Hello Sailor, Shihad, Midge Marsden Band, Herbs, Moana & the Moahunters, Blackjack, Head Like A Hole, Southside of Bombay, Pumpkinhead, Dead Flowers, Fagan, the Clean, Hallelujah Picassos, Knightshade, Brainchilds, Emma Paki etc. New bands of interest include Shayne Carter’s Dimmer, Fat Mannequin from Wellington and Thorazine Shuffle.
To make your weekend more comfortable organisers are throwing on a big spread, including a variety of health foods plus old favourites like hotdogs and chips. Also on site will be a fully licensed bar, craft stalls, Eft-Pos facilities, camping areas and hot showers. Strawberry Fields tickets are $35, or $55 on the day.
