On No, Not Another Second Hand Record Shop Dept. Yes, folks, Real Groovy Records has just opened at Number 23 Mt Eden Road, just down from the Symonds Street/New North Road intersection. There's a Real Groovy car park and a Real Groovy bus stop opposite, so there’s no reason you can't come in and check out the five thousand or so Real Groovy used LPs we have in stock. There are records to cater to every taste - two thousand rock albums, five hundred jazz (including many originals from the fifties; Basie, Ellington, Parker, Young, Hawkins, as well as ecms, Pablos etc) and positively oodles of Real Groovy opera (150 box sets) and Classical discs, in our bargain basement (well, budget bin, actually) we have thousands (who’s counting?) of Real Groovy LPs under two dollars each! And Real Groovy singles too, from the fifties right through to current hits. Unfortunately, we have no Real Groovy rare records. You' know - the kind that have no marked price and you have to be eligible for a mortgage or be a major lottery winner before you can even ask how much they are. No Sir (or Ma’am) we have none of those. in fact, we sell no records for more than it would cost to buy them were they to be available new, and most of our Real Groovy records are less than half the price of new ones. in order, however, for us to maintain or increase this excellent selection we must keep buying and trading Real Groovy records. YOUR Real Groovy Records. we are paying up to four dollars each for good used LPs, and if you have any by the following artists, or on the labels mentioned below, in mint condition, we will pay up to five or six dollars each! Just Arrived!
