P PIANO m m WM m Hi LIMITED SHIPMENT IN STORES NOW The new ARP 1 6-Voice Electronic Piano is the first piano to offer a wide variety of touchresponsive percussive sounds in one instrument. Among these are .;■> acoustic piano, vibes, harpsichord, harp, electric piano (tone bar effect), and other voices which ■ v are ideal for both solo and group - performance. A 73-note standard wood key■ : board, with a specially designed and ■ weighted maple action, faithfully; reproduces the feel and response of traditional grand pianos. The . ''-’ revolutionary new key contact sys- ■ tem, employing sealed membrane switches, allows the performer to play very softly or very loud, capturing the full dynamic range from pp . to ff. A dual-tone generation and keying system accurately duplicates the decay characteristics of a piano. ■ The relative tuning of the two tone ' generators on each key can be perfectly tuned or slightly detuned to warm up the sound. The second ' tone generator may be detuned up to a quarter of a semitone for honky-tonk type effects, and the Master Tune shifts the entire instrument sharp or flat to bring it in tune with other instruments, records, or tapes. . A six-stage stereo phase shifter is included with the ARP Piano. The phasor can be adjusted to provide • gentle sweeping effects or deep dramatic harmonic emphasis. To enrich the texture of the piano, the phasor has three peaks instead of the usual two. The addition of this stereo phasor gives the piano a depth and animation found on no other electronic piano. The pedal assembly supplied with the instrument consists of two solid brass piano pedals. The right pedal controls sustain, and the left is assigned by a dual-purpose switch on the panel to be either, a • soft pedal or vibrato. In the “soft" . mode, depressing the left pedal will reduce the bright percussive components of most of the voices; in the “vibrato" mode, it may be used to add vibrato for specific passages. A stereo headphone jack is conveniently located on the control panel for private practicing. In addition, two auxiliary inputs are provided on the rear of the instrument so that tape recorders, record • players, or other external sources can be mixed with the instrument through the stereo outputs and • through the headphones. ■' ; v The piano comes with four detachable legs, a keyboard cover, and the pedal assembly. Typical ARP quality goes into the manufacture of . this instrument. State-of-the-art electronics assure you of the" best sound in the business. - DISTRIBUTED BY BEVERLEY BRUCE & GOLDIE LTD PO BOX 37-056. AUCKLAND 1
