Czechoslovakia Under The Microscope
HOW much has Britain given away by allowing Germany to open its mouth and swallow the State cf Czechoslovakia? Has she, in one stroke, mortgaged the whole future of the democracies? This is the question put by Lien-tenant-Commander Edgar P. Young, RN., in his book, "Czechoslovakia, Keystone of Peace and Democracy," and answered in a most perturbing fashion with a direct affirmative. "It should be evident," he concludes, "that the maintenance of an independent and democratic Czechoslovakia is eseential for the preservation, not only of peace, but of democracy in the -Western world."
With Czechoslovakia gone, there is no barrier left to the German drive through the Balkans to the Hast, The book is a thorough study of the history, social conditions, constitution and minority problems of Czechoslovakia, thrashed out with unflinching logic. It is a brilliant contribution to the outstanding series published for the "Left Book Club," editions of which are now available to. members. Czechoslovakia: Keystone of Peace and Democracy.
