INCIDENT ON SYDNEY SIDE GIRLS of the Revue jumped into the . limelight during their visit to Sydney with ari incident that excited the Pressmen enough to send cables. Asked to take part in a charity drive in Sydney, the girls consented and set out with a will. Siaid city people were amazed to see the girls collecting in their shorts, and soon became resentful. Incident ended with. the girls having to retire and come back in garments of a wider coverage. Reason given for their earlier’ striking appearance was because they had come straight to collecting after rehearsal, Reason given by the gossips for the resentment is that the girls collected twice as much as their rival, better-clad collectors. "

Ciochetto, of the Royal Hotel, entertained Sir Benjamin Fuller and Lady Fuller, and the principals of the company at a supper. Sir Benjamin; .in a cheery speech, congratulated Harry Howard (producer) ‘and his company on the brilliant success of the production and spoke of the real "'trouper" spirit that made the first night such a notable event. On behalf of Australian and New Zealand well-wishers, he extended a cordial welcome to the American artists. . Happy reciprocal speeches were made by Mr. R. Barre, Harry Howard, Martie May, Willie and Eugene Howard, and Clark Robinson (designer of the Revue).
AS SPECTACULAR AS THE FILM SHOWS SPECTACLE known only to Aucklanders by the tnedium of the screen became a living reality (said ecstatic critic) when Hollywood Hotel opened there on their way to Sydney. ; Many times the curtains swung back to reveal vast settings as backgrounds for graceful girls in striking costumes who posed and swung as human decorations. Costumes, though remarkably brief, were acclaimed as charming colour and design. Girls wore head-dresses of sweeping feathers, cobwebbed lace-and jewels. *
