Beeause Herbert Claridge has staged suvh a comeback, arrangemenis were made fer Dr. Jnaues Lyon, Trinity College examiner, Who tas been in New Zealand for some mouths, to hear the young Man’s voive. Result: The Trinity College man waxed enthusiastic. tere, ne said, Wes an unusual voice in that it was of cxeellent inale alio quality, showing no trace of goprano thahve, Untortunoately for such a voice these is no seere in New Zealand, out Dr. Lyon pointed out that certain Hnelish cathedrals were need. ing voices of this quality. He suggested thet the young maws teacher write io the organists of soinc vf ngiand’s largest cathedrals, Dr. Lyon said to Mr. Claridze: "tT would like to see you in the wWestininsier Cathedval choir," Herbert Cloridge, from the age of ii, bad fonr years’ training in voice production, under Mr. J.
