It has been announced by the Fernsech Company that at the 3erlin Radio Show they will ve demonstrating 729-liue television. te * te Cur radio performed a new role recently, when Harry Pepper produced his "Round the Fol-de-Rols" programme, in which different companies at Kastbourne, Liandudne, Siaudown and Hastings were broadcast in quick succession iv order to provide B.B.C, listeers with one continuous sey-enty-minute show. Harry Pepper made his opening announcement at Eastbourne; then, when the show was under way he dashed off by car to Hastings to give the closing announcement there. While en route he listened to the show on his car radio. To guard against breakdown asecond car followed, also fitted with radio. Incidentally, the Fol-de-Rols at the different seaside towns listened to each other’s performances and took their cues by radio. Harry Pepper had one assistant and two OB engineers at each point. At least t@elve microphones were used. = ae * Free medical advice is now given from Italian broadcasting stations. The scheme is being operated in much the same manner as that adoptetd by certain newspapers over here, in which the sufferer writes to the paper concerning his symptoms, the question and answer being published for the benefit of readers at large. In the case of the Italian broadeasting service, however, either the post or the telephone can be used to describe the symptoms, the treatment being broadcast at a certain hour of the day which is devoted to this service. Presumably, the identities of patients are not disclosed.
