The famous Dr. Lister travelled from England to Arbois to see the anthrax tests carried out by Louis Pasteur, the French chemist. The two men, the part of Pasteur being played by Paul Muni, are seen on the extreme left. In the centre is the love interest, the role of the young doctor in the hands of Donald Woods. Above is a scene in Pasteur's laboratory during the search for an anthrax vaccine.
