More G. and S.
Briton (Hamilton) writes:--The recent tour of the J. ©. Williamson com- . pany with the Gilbert and Sullivan operas has proved how popular these operas are with old and young alike, Why can’t we have more of them over the alr? We now and then get selections, but hardly ever the complete operas, Also, I wonld like more recordings of popular British artists such as Jack Buchanan, Noel Coward, Harry Tate, Will Hay, and John Tilley. I know re-. cordings of these artists are given sometimes through the day, but many listeners hear only the night programme, (Until the Gilbert and Sullivan company was about to tour New Zealand, the Broadcasting Board provided regular broadcasts of both complete and abridged G. and S. operas. -Ed.] .
