MORNING reception of Australian stations is good as 7.45 am., 2CH, 2UW, 2GB, 2UE being the best of those heard. 4ZL, 32M, 38ZR, and 2ZP are also good at this hour.
On the shortwave, WQO was heard on May 12 working the Hindenburg on her return flight to Berlin, with good readable signals, but those from the airship were pooy, the commander stating that atmospherics were very bad, Japan is on the air each Wednesday and Saturday on 28 m., and can be heard sround 7 a.m, They are usually on telephony, these broadcasts being conducted by the Wireless Telephone Co. of Japan, OTRX, 25.6 m., is coming in wel] at R5, QSA4, BAQ is working up to good strength, but CTIAA is weak. Germany on May 18 were operating on approx, 24.7 m., but signals were very weak, At 9.45 an announcement was made in DWnglish, but only th. mention of DJE was heard. South Americans are good on +41 m. around 4 pm... and some good lovvings
can be had.-
