Meringue Special
TPAKE 2 eggs and beat well for 5 minutes, add gradually 3 cup sugar and beat another 5 minutes, then fold in gently 3 cup arrowroot which has been rolled and sifted. Lastly add | small teaspoon baking-powder. Place mixture in a greased and floured sandwich tin and bake in a moderate oven for 10 minutes. Beat the whites of two eggs to a very stiff froth, then fold in 3 cup sugar and 4 teaspoon vinegar. Place in a papered sand-. wich tin same size as the sponge tin, and bake in a slow oven for | | hour. When cold, turn sponge upside down and pile sweetened whipped cream to which 2 well-mash-ed bananas have been added, on top, and then place the merinone 5 rf
