"Hot Rhythm" Goes Down With Aucklander

To the Editon _ Sir,-I would like to add my voice to that of "Tintara" in a recent "Record," who advocates more numbers by "The Hill Billies," Sol Hoopii and Bing Crosby, We used to hear quite a lot of Bing in the dance interludes, but have heard nothing of him for several months. While on the subject of dance music, why don’t we hear more of the type known as ‘Hot Rhythm," such,as played by Duke Ellington, "Fat? Waller, and..Louis Arnstrong? 1YX plays four dance numbers every evening at about 5.80. Surely it ilittle to ask for the. big proportion vu! ‘dance musie fans who like "Hot Rhythm" that these numbers be of that type.-TI am ete,, ‘
