Car Radio Set Keeps Traveller Happy QOME people don’t speak very highly of .motor-car radios these days but "I wouldn't be without one,"’ were. the words of a radio traveller to a ‘Radio Record" representative the other day. "If it hadn't been for my radio I probably would have been in the mental hospital by now. "I left Wellington full of anticipation for a quick trip through the South Island. All went well until I left Christchurch. Then my troubles began; I ran into six inches of snow, and my car stalled. That was where the radio first came to my rescue. I ran into floods just outside of Dunedin, again the radio proved a faithful friend. By that time I thought I had finished with delays, but troubles do not come alone, at least not to my door, it came witha rush, for I was again delayed at Invercargill, and there were four and a half feet of snow -on the road at Queenstown. ~ **'The radio functioned perfectly all the day and did a great deal to take the sting from the lash of ‘Old Man Trouble’s’ whip."
