Change in Programmes "Busts a Romance"
To the Editor Sir-What’s gone wrong at 1¥A? As you know, ‘Tuesday is a gala night and [, like so many others, have fallen rather hadly for Eb and Zeb and Frank "Watauobby." Well, on Sunday night I was tarewelling my girl friend in the usual aecredited manner and, before the final adieu, making the necessary arrange‘ments for our next meeting, I remembered Tuesday was Bb’s night and Zeb’s and I'rank’s night, so I added, "Oh. I can’t see you on Tuesday-make it Wedneslay." . The G.I, said’ some things. What they were I do not know, because she allowed . her feelings to interfere with her diction. Anyfow, I knew what she meatt. She finished up by saying: "You be there on Tuesday or.else--." Tuesday came and I was aH ready shaved and wrapped, but my mind was still yneasy and unmade, Then it started to fain and I prayed to the Lord-but then it stopped raining and the paeans were not so loud. To make a long story short, {L-didn’t meet the G.F Thev at 8 p.m. If learned that rhe programme arrangements had been altered and that Eb and Zeb and Frank were not on tap, but it was then too late to undo the damage relating to the G.F. If the programme arranger has a conscience let rim bow down and bite the dust, for it looks as.though he nas busted up a perfeetly good romance, T know! I know! 4 shanid have pur-\ chased the ‘fReady Reckner"-I mean the ) "Radio Record’ -put one is apt to one’s trust in Radio Programme Arrangers, Anyhow, IT know somebody who will never trust the blighters again.-I am, ete.,
