The jingoistic sentiments of the people are inflamed by the screaming headlines of the sensational press, and the hee of public opinion is turned against im Disowned by his constituents, forsaken by his friends, and alienated from his wife and family, he is left aloneto face "The Mob." ; This thoughtful yet intensely gripping tragedy is in Galsworthy’s best vein, and is interpreted by a strong cast headed by Vivian Edwards. 40.45: A recital by the Conservatorium.
