FNDER the auspices of the Tufts Service Centre for. Modern Language Teachers of New England. U.S.A., a series of French breadcasts has been planned over WIXAL as the first step in teaching languages, A new method of teaching will be employed, a combination of talking and
pictures, the pictures being made availuble to listeners at a nominal -price to cover printing and mailing costs. Mine, Jeanne Brondel Allen will give the series, he talks will fivsr trea the subject matter in a very elementary way, then in two more advanced techniques, all in the same broadeasts. The heads of the Tufts Language Centre will follow the results of these broad-
custs with much interest to see huw effectively lunguage may be taught by this unusual method. Thus is Station WIXAL, dedicated io furthering international goodwill, making new and expanding use of its facilities in addition to the excellent cducational programmes which have received ‘much favourable comment ‘from all parts of the world. °
