Fanny Heaslip Lea, the writer of this story, was born in New Orleans, lived for several years in Hawaii, and now divides her time between New York, London and Paris. This varied experience adds authentic colour to the charming stories she writes. In addition to several novels and many short stories she has written one play. Mostly, her stories deal with modern young people in their battle to adjust romance with the hard economics of the age.
