RESIDENT ROOSEVELT spoke over the air 23 times in 1934, making 41 broadcasts since he took office in March, 1988. Most of the broadcasts were taken by the National and Columbia systems, with the addition, late in 1934, of the new American broadcasting system. Mrs. Roosevelt, as is proper, spoke more than her husband, giving 28 broadcast talks in 1934, making 2 total of 45 broadcast talks since her husband became President. ,
