Answers to Correspondents "Lofty" (Christchurch): Yes, Identification Wanted Station heard on March 27 on approx. 950 k.c. between 6.30 and 7 p.m. Numbers heard were mainly Spanish-American dances, with announcements in Spanish;
strength about R8. Ido not think this was LR8, as I did not recognise any words that resembled the call of: this station. The words "Rio Negro’ were heard during two separate announcements.-9HB (Gisborne). Stations Identified 74T (Opunake): Your station on 1140 k.c. is KVOO, who have a late programme every Saturday night-164A (Morrinsville). DX Topics Loggings and Verifications, '. RECEPTION has been very patchy lately. The following are new loggings for the past month: KFYR, KTS4, XEAW, 2TM and VK4PK. The only verifications received during the month were VK2BQ, WDAY, WGY, KPRO and KGRS, An extract from the letter from KGRS reads: "This is to verify your report of reception of KGRS on January 11, 1935. I only wish other New Zealanders would give us as complete a report as you did. Sometimes we get reports that are not definite enough to give a verification," — 164W 2ZM Out of Cards, )ZM, Gisborne, regrets that supplies of verification cards are exhausted, but all reports will be acknowledged as soon as new cards are available. XHLO, MTBY, Palermo, Pecs, Milan No. 2, 2TM, and VK’s 2ZF, 83BH, 3HK, 8TA, 4RJ, 58L, 5LR and5WJ..
