(By DX 460.) (CONDITION S here in VK5 have been ‘very patchy lately. Static is still very prevalent, -but, for all that,-some very good -loggings -have been made,. The hest. stations received here at present, are the Europeans, Those outstanding are:Rome (420.8), Breslau (315.8),° Milan (368.6), Toulouse (328.6), Paris (412.8), Hamburg: (331.9), Odessa (309.9); Strasbourge (849.2), Falkirk (371.3). Moscow IV (360.6), Brno. (324.5), Madona (271.7), Bari (283.3): and ‘Bucharest (364.5). At night the Orientals come through at good volume, Very liftle has has heen heard of our members this last month, I guess they. are just getting over the holidays, — a 500° is busy re-building his all-wave super.’ nr 510 is also rebuilding; Pete is on a B.C, set. ° ao 520 is anxious to get his:ticket. The 200 metre fone band is crowded with stations on Sundays, all jamming one and another. The W.I.A. has allotted each station different sessions, and all frequencies have been changed here in VK5.. Those on. 200 metres here at present are:-VK’s 5WS, 5WH, 5DX, 5RP, BLR, 5SL, 5IV, SNR. SMW, 5MD, 5BA, 5DC,, SBY, 530, 5KH, 547, 5DR, 5BP and. 5MH, Four others are waiting on permite to operate. up here. J. M. Moody.
