Disappointment Over Relay From Royal Ball
To the Editor , Sir,-We listened in to the broadcast of the ball held in Wellington in honcur of his Royal Highness the Duke of Gloucester from 2YA on the 17th inst. The music was excellent, but, to be perfectly candid, the frequent interruptions of Mrs. T. W. Lewis, who was describing at length the gay scenes before her and the various dresses worn by the ladies present, spoil an evening’s perfect entertainment. A little more foresight on the part of the Broadcasting Board in the choos-
ing of the announcer would have greatly pleased listeners-in, especially if the commentary had been a trifle more humorous and less boring. Hoping this letter prove useful when another such occasion arises.-tWe are.
