RADIO RECORD GIVES GREETINGS TO READERS
i elif ~~» 7 HIS year the task of writing a message of greetings and goodwill to our readers is an" easter one. Signs are not wanting that the world is lifting itself out of the doldrums, and that Christmas, 1934,. might well be made an occasion for celebrating the conclusion of a year of hard work and clearer thinking. During 1934 problems that have been shirked for years have been grappled with and cleared up; old wood has been cut away, and the new wood gives promise of putting forth lusty shoots.. Wireless has played a vigorous part in the year’s progress. It has kept in check the growth of a nationalistic spirit that at one time threatened to send the world’s neighbours flying at each _ other’s throats; it has produced greater harmony and good-fellowship throughout the Empire; tt has brought back, to a gratifying extent, the family circle, with its attendant virtues of peace and love. Next week his Majesty the King will give his Christmas message to millions of faithful subjects, bringing home to them that, in wireless, our King has at his hand a greater instrument for the promoting of the fellowship of nations than had the mightiest monarch of bygone days. The "Radio Record" wishes its many. readers a@ very happy Christmas. It has striven during the year to give good service-it hopes it has succeeded. \
