Why Present Best Features of the Week on Fridays?
To the Editor. Sir-Can you explain why Friday night, when quite an appreciabie percentage of listeners are working anid still.more are in town, is chosen for presenting the best feature of the week? At 4YO, variety and vaudeville. the hour with the Hulberts, and similar programmes, are always on 2 Fri day. An even more glaring example is the matter of the B.B,C. plays. "Seven Days’ Sunshine" was’ broad cast twice on Friday nights and once on a Tuesday. Then "Flags on the Matterhorn" is given its premiere on a Friday night,-and lo and behold, it is scheduled again for Friday, 7th: This is a matter which needs urgent attention when the new programme arrangements are drawn up.-I am. ete.,
