1YA, SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 25. The Auckland Municipal Band, under the conductorship of Mr. George Buckley, will broadcast between 8.30 and 10 p.m. 4YA, SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 25. An organ recital by Dr. V. E. Galway, will be relayed from the Dunedin Town Hall at 8.15 p.m. 2FC AND 2BL, SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 24. Starting at 1.45 p.m. (N.Z. summer time) the above stations will broadcast the opening of the Anzac Memorial at Sydney by H.R.H. the Duke of Gloucester. 4QG AND 4RK, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 6 A broadcast at 12.30 a.m. (New Zealand summer time) of the United Services Ball given in honour of the Duke of Gloucester’s visit to Brisbane. To be relayed by stations 2FC, 2BL, 3LO, 3AR, 2CO, 5CL, and 6WF. 4QG AND 4RK, MONDAY, DECEMBER 10. The Duke of Gloucester will dispatch the ‘first Air Mail from Australia to England. This will take place at Brisbane at 12.0 to 12.30 p.m. (New Zealand summer time). To be relayed by the principal Australian stations. NEW ZEALAND NATIONAL STATIONS NEXT MONTH. Madame Goossens-Viceroy, the worldfamous Belgian soprano, who has sung in grand opera in all parts of the world, will be heard from the New Zealand national stations next. month.
NEW ZEALAND NATIONAL STATIONS NEXT MONTH. Raymond Beatty, the well-known bassocantante, will sing from the national stations next month. Mr. Beatty, who has been specially engaged by the New Zealand Broadcasting Board, is now enjoying a phenomenally successful broadeasting tour of the Australian national stations. 2YA, SATURDAY, DECEMBER 15. There will be a broadcast from Trentham of the Wellington Royal Welcome Meeting in honour of the Duke of Gloucester, ~ NEW ZEALAND NATIONAL STATIONS EARLY NEXT YEAR. Lionello Cecil, one of the finest operatic tenors to appear before a microphone, will arrive in New Zealand in the New Year under contract to the New Zealand Broadcasting Boara. EMPIRE STATIONS, DAVENTRY, THIS MONTH. The new Empire Orchestra, under the conductorship of Mr. Eric Fogg, will be heard on the Australian and New Zealand transmission from Daventry this month. . 1YA, DECEMBER 26, 28, JANUARY 1, 2. The Auckland Cup will be run on Wednesday, December 26, and there will be meetings on Friday, December 28, Tuesday, Janu- | ary | and Wednesday, January 2.
