DINNER PARTY MARKS AN ANNIVERSARY
Mr. R. L. Grant, of B.E.F., Acts as Host in Wellington MEMBERS of*the film industry and ‘the press, gathered at. the Royal Oak Hotel; Wellington, last week, when a dinner party was given by Mr. R. L. Grant, general.manager for New Zealand for British Empire Films, Ltd., to celebrate the first birthday in New Zealand of the company. Following the dinner, a private screening of the big
B.E.F. film, "Blossom Time," starring Richard Tauber, was held. In a ‘brief speech, Mr. Grant explained his-cémpany’s policy and spoke of a number of productions that had been: scheduled for release during the coming year, Mr. L. Quinn, booking manager for the Fuller-Hayward Theatre Corporation, in thanking Mr. Grant on behalf of all present, referred to. the extremely cordial relations that’ had always existed between Mr. Grant and the various exhibitors, and wished him and his company every success for the future Among those present at the dinner were Messrs.
