"TT's have a Topsy-Turvy Week," is the suggestion put forward this week by the winner of the 5/- prize. Other prize-winners are marked with stars. Don’t forget there are prizes each week for contributions to this page. a Q "Nos" (Opawa, Christchurch): One or two of the English tennis players will give talks during their New
Zealand visit, and the main stations have arranged for evening descriptions of the day’s play. * 2 * N Saturday last, the 2YA announcer said nonchalantly and without the slightest change of tone: "The time is now a quarter to two. Will anybody here have a drink?’ For an instant I contemplated an immediate journey to Wellington, but the announcer dashed my hopes by remarkine. after a pause -"Played by Jack Payne and his or-
chestra,"-'

*« HER#’s a suggestion for the programme directors-or whoeve1 is responsible for the arrangement of the programmes which appear in your excellent paper. The two words "selected recordings" seem to be cropping up altogether too often in the evening broadcasts. Why not give us the titles of the records to be played? It really would be much more enlightening."-

lunch at Wellington

vr A SUGGESTION: Now that the Broadcasting Board controls three stations, 2¥A, 2YC, and 2ZW, in Wellington, would it not be possible for one of these to be hooked up with the House of Representatives for broadaeasts of, say, the proceedings each evening, aud important Ministerial statements during the day? ‘The seryiee would be appreciated by many

* M4x I be permitted to suggest that the Broadcasting Board immediately secure the services of Mr. FI, Milner for the purpose of enlightening the people of this isolated land on the manner in which world problems are being. tackled in other countries? His experiences in Americe and Canada would furnish material for many broadcasts, and would be of the greatest value to our people in view of the serious position in which the world
finds itself,-

MAY I suggest that all sporting announcements be made exclusively from station 2ZW, thus allowing 2YA more time for news, reports. and musi-

OW that the cricket season is here, I think that the YA stations would do right if they could keep listeners in touch by means of progress reports
with the first grade match which is being played on the main cricket ground. -‘Bodyline" (Seacliff). ® x Ld (COULDN'T we have a crossword puzzle in the "Radio Record’? Once a week would be very nice, but we would put up with one once a month if necessary. No prizes would be required, of course, the puzzles being just a

Lets Have a Topsy Turvy Week !
Let's have a topsy turvy week ! Clive Drummond replaces Gordon Hutter for the wrestling broadcasts, Gordon Hutter replaces Aunt Molly for the children’s hour. Aunt Molly replaces Strachan on Wednesday. Owen Pritchard to take 2YC, with permission to introduce a little humour. Of course, the Board will never do it, but I get a good laugh from visualising the changes. Imagine Clive’s mellifluous voice pouring out its sweetness on the antics of George Walker and company! I bet Hutter would be a success with the kiddies-he’s got imagination ! Aunt Molly would be very welcome one evening-much as we all admire the work of Mr. Strachan. What a kick we would get with Owen in charge of 2YC, and "carte branche.’’--Gaspard (Te Kuiti).
