"THE police radio system in America is very efficient, and has been the means of many desperate criminals being caught red-handed. The criminal element-in addition to equipping itself with machine-guns and gas bombs-is now protecting itself against surprise by the police radio system by carrying portables tuned to the police wavelength. A recent American paper showed a criminal gang’s radio plant. It would make the average enthusiast green with envy.
