HE B.B.C. discontinued during July and August this year their "Foundations of Music" series, the break being the first in a sequence of 85 weeks during which they have been broadcast every evening except Sunday. Practically every artist of distinction in Great Britain has contributed to the’ series, and the composers most frequently drawn upon have been Beethoven, Bach, Schubert, and Brahms. * s * py April the Bolivian authorities erected a new station at La Paz, Corocoro, 13,500 feet above sea level, making it the highest broadcasting station in the world, There are two transinitters working simultaneously on a medium of short wave. Apart from broadcasts in Spanish, educational lectures are also given in native Indian dialects.
